This beautifully renovated, spacious house, which is full of character, has many exposed stone walls and beamed ceilings. Probably originally built in the 1700's as three farm labourer's cottages, after extensive renovation it is now one property with seven bedrooms, five bathrooms, two kitchens, very large common spaces and a comfortable outdoor space featuring a pool and 2 terraces (one with BBQ).

It is uniquely situated opposite a night-lit 12th Century Church and a 13th Century Chateau. Neither building is open to the public, so you can enjoy the view from the lounge amid peace and tranquility.

Set in a quiet rural hamlet amidst the rolling sunflower fields (Le Tournesol means Sunflower) and vineyards of the Charente, you will be well positioned for touring this lovely region.

Angouleme, Cognac, and the wine regions of St Emilion, Bordeaux, Medoc, and Pomerol are all within 50 miles but a lot of people just like to sit and relax the days away in one of the sun loungers beside the 32 square metre pool. We have added information on both short and longer trips away for your convenience under other sections of this site.
